The Creation of an International Global Gathering will allow us to:

  • Join together in sacred community at Featherstone Castle, Northumberland, UK.
  • Honor our ancestors, our histories and our contributions in every age and every culture.
  • Celebrate our cultural heritages by sharing food, music and performance, heart circle and ceremony.
  • Participate in a symposium exploring queer culture, rights, health and history.
  • Rest, renew and have fun with other committed cultural change agents.
  • Foster the growth of a worldwide network of LGBTIQA+ activists.
  • Cost is 250-500 pounds per person, sliding scale based on ability to pay.
  • Includes indoor accommodation or camping and all meals.
  • No one will be turned away for lack of funds and everyone is asked to be as generous as possible. Donations to this co-created gathering are deeply appreciated.
  • Additional support may be available for those from overseas who need travel grants or housing assistance. Support for others based on need may be available.
  • You must be registered to participate.
  • Accommodations and support for those with special needs if possible.

According to Wikipedia, 96 countries signed a 2011 United Nations declaration supporting LGBTIQA+ rights while 54 signed a 2008 statement opposing them. 44 countries have expressed neither official support nor opposition. Same-sex relations are illegal in 74 countries and punishable by death in 13.

Very few nations recognize Transgender rights - most punish or obstruct gender fluidity.
